You only have so much time to work each day and you need to accomplish the tasks of that day’s because the next day will hold its own set of tasks to be done. The good news is, you’ll find loads of effective ways to get more completed quicker|If you plan thoroughly you can get more completed than you otherwise would during a typical work day|If you act prudently you can save a lot of time and get all of your tasks completed}. Keep reading for some really good ideas on how you can squeeze more productivity out of every single work hour in your day|Continue reading to find out more about what you can do to increase your work day productivity|The following tips are designed to provide you with simple ideas to increase your work day productivity}.

1. Plan your time in advance. While it may be counterproductive to spend time planning how to use your time, generating lists of things to attend to, and creating organizational schemes, it saves time in the longer run. If this isn’t your strength, find someone who can do it for you, even if you pay a high school student to come in and do filing jobs. If you maintain a structured business office, it won’t be long until you observe that you are getting more things accomplished and getting them done in less time|Workplace organization is a key to an efficient and effective office where everything generally gets done when it must be done|Maintaining a profitable home business requires some level of organization that will allow for the completion of all jobs with deadlines before they’re due}.

2. Write up your list of tomorrow’s hot action items tonight before going to bed. This is not going to only help you to decrease your anxiety levels, but it will make you a much better time manager. This will help you to continue being sharp throughout the day, so that you’re just as efficient as you were at the outset of the day. Get it down on paper then, rather than having to spend time reconstructing it the subsequent morning while you are in a groggy morning fog.

3. Play to your talents. You already know if you’re better early or late in the work day. Take note of the most productive periods in your day, and plan the majority of of your essential work during these times|Do your most difficult or most dreaded jobs at those periods when you are at your most functional levels|Concentrate on your most complicated work tasks during the peak areas of your work day}. If you find yourself low on energy, that is a good time to perform tasks that don’t involve much energy.

4. Do away with time wasters in your workday|Stay away from pointless time usage|Merge things which can drag on}. Sign out of email and only check it twice a day, such as very first thing each and every morning and an hour or so before you end your workday|For example, you can limit your email checking and message callbacks to first thing each and every morning and after lunch|Instead of leaving your email up all day and replying to questions as they come in, do email just twice a day}. If you have a tendency to spend a lot of time on the phone, schedule blocks of time for returning telephone calls. Social networks should be avoided during your working hours, since time tends to slip away. Each one of these things can easily throw you off and dissolve your work focus, so try to minimize them as much as possible|Your ability to concentrate on work and to optimize your time is dependent on avoiding time wasters|Just about any time wasters that take your time and concentration off your work accumulate in a short time}.

5. Use “no” frequently. Every business owner has a limited set of resources and they should manage them by choosing which to spend and when|Time is a finite resource that have to be spent wisely on what most must be done|You have to value your time above all other resources, applying it only to the most crucial tasks at hand during your work day}. Be at ease saying no, and only say yes to the most crucial tasks and individuals in your business|So you need to say no to those who will simply waste your time to do what is most important|The better you do at declining tasks of lesser importance to focus on greater tasks, the more productive you will be}. It’s a matter of prioritizing the quality of what’s most crucial over the completion of less important jobs.

As you most likely know, each business can benefit from the owner’s increased focus and follow-through. These simple concepts are easier said than done, but maybe the recommendations above have motivated you to take back control of your work day. Setting up a business that can last for a lot of growth requires that you get the most out of each work day, constantly building on the previous day’s achievements.

There has been quite a lot of talk throughout the Internet marketing arena about tenacity. A lot of people are trying to find out how to get in touch with their motivation so that they can continue to move forward even when things are challenging. There are numerous hurdles to get over when you are going out into the Internet Marketing arena and it can be really difficult to stick to the work and take steps toward your goals. So just how are you able to accomplish that? Just how do you hang in there and continue on?
How A Secret Word Changed My Life

Try to tap into your inner stubbornness. Most of the time doggedness is something that is regarded as a trait that needs to be corrected or “worked on”. In the world of Internet marketing, however, when you wish to keep your tenacity up, stubbornness can be your biggest asset. Be determined to be successful and then just refuse to give it up. This is how you will get the moxie to forge on. You’ll find it much more effortless to get through those roadblocks. It’s possible to decide that you’re simply not surrendering. If you can determine that you aren’t going to, for example, ever eat a piece of broccoli again, you can resolve that you are going to keep going after success.
How To Manifest Your Own Miracles?

Find a way to get into your inner competitive spirit. This, apparently, will work only if you are a competitive individual. If you are competitive by nature, one of the best ways to persevere and forge on when things are hard is to pick a person who has managed to do the things you wish to accomplish and vow to do those things better than that individual has done them. Try to turn your success into a challenge and then do everything you can to be better than the person you wish to emulate. If you have the desire to persevere, you need to be as competitive as possible.

One Page Miracle Technique

Try to count all of your blessings. Forgine on when things are tough or there are many obstacles is one of the hardest things to do when you’re working toward Internet marketing success. It is easy to see all of the terrible things as excuses to resign. When you start to feel stuck, try finding the things that are working out for you. You might not be earning several hundred dollars each day but maybe you have lots of good contacts that you love talking with. The economy might be impacting your profits but you might have a high overall conversion rate, which means that your sales materials are effective. All of these small things add up and help you persist and actually attain your goals.
How To Get Anything You Want In Life?

Stop worrying about the large things that you’re not able to control. Worry about what you have the ability to control. You can control the small things. This will help you find a sense of accomplishment that will help you move forward when all you would like to do is give up.

These might appear like unusual ways to keep going. The fact, though, is that if you would like to succeed in IM you have to be pretty competitive, a little bit stubborn and more. It’s unquestionably a good thing to have a positive mindset. Have no worries; you’ll be able to do it!

There has been a steady stream of electronic book sellers online for for about 15 or 20 years. Underlying this trend is the fact that people are forever looking for information in one form or another and will pay for it if necessary. And lotso f people are still using the internet as a source of information whether it be in the form of practical ‘how to’ guides or problem solving. Keeping this in mind, this article will talk about the prospect of generating money online by selling electronic books to an information hungry audience.

As I said before, when people are in dire need of information about something, they will likely pay for it. And it follows that if you are the person who has information online that addresses specific problems then those folks in need are the ones who will purchase it from you. Nonetheless, creating ebooks from the ground up involves quite a bit of work. It could take you many months to research all the information you will need to put into your electronic book, and if you don’t know how to put up a web site, you are going to have to pay someone to do it for you.

Fortunately, it’s possible to sell ebooks on the Internet without having to write your own and you don’t even have to build a web site. If you purchase an electronic book with resale rights, this means that you can legally re-sell that ebook and profit from it. Not only do a number of sites offer resale rights ebooks, but they can also provide you with a web site as well to sell them from. You’ll find it so straightforward to do that you may want to set up say 5 ready made websites a day each one offering a different ebook for sale.

Ebooks you can re-sell are easily found on the web costing around 10 bucks which also covers the cost of your pre-built site. Another alternative is to subscribe to a members only website which allows you to download thousands of ebooks for you to get started selling straightaway. Several of these membership web sites could cost you more or less $30 each month on average. Then you will just need to buy a domain and hosting for every ebook you will wish to sell. The hosting will cost you approximately $10 a month and if you get the right hosting account you can add as many domains as you want. You can get a .info domain name rather inexpensively.

You then just upload the web site to your server, make a few changes to the site, add a payment link so you can collect the money and you are all ready. Then you simply keep doing this for every electronic book you desire to sell. An important step to get customers to your site is to get it promoted online which will be up to you. As you know, no visitors equals no chance of any sales so you should find a way to advertise your site to draw to people’s attention.
Want Your Free Ebooks Downloaded More?

The article below about jazz radio has received a lot of interest, more than any other on our site. We believe it's because it pulls no punches. Yet, while it's an important issue, it's not all doom and gloom, there is another point of view that some find quite unorthodox, but workable.

This article has proven to be very useful to our readers and they come back regularly to keep abreast of the latest developments. While jazz radio remains an important subject, it's always an added bonus when you can be enlightened, and even amused by being shown the other side of the issue. Some things are not always what they seem. Read on for more insight.
Playing Jazz Guitar – Common Scales Used In Jazz Guitar (part 2)

By Craig Bassett

Playing jazz guitar fluently is definitely a challenge. It is a lifelong study. People new to jazz often underestimate the sheer volume of information that needs to be absorbed. Especially in the area of jazz guitar scales!

In this article we continue looking at the most common scales used in jazz guitar. Mastering these common scales will help you build a valuable foundation of guitar scale knowledge and technique. This foundation will eventually enable you to learn more complex jazz guitar scales.

***Jazz Guitar Scales #2: The Mixolydian Mode***

–The Mixolydian Mode: Some Basic Theory–

This is a great sounding scale! To my ears it has a warm, rounded and bluesy sound. It is absolutely essential that you master it. No excuses.

The mixolydian mode has the following formula…

1 2 3 4 5 6 b7

So what does this formula tell us? It tells us that the mixolydian mode is the same as the major scale (Formula: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7), except it has a flattened 7th. Let’s work out the notes of the G mixolydian mode to make this clear…

Step 1:

Write down the notes of the G major scale. This gives us these notes…

G A B C D E F#

Step 2:

Flatten the seventh note of the G major scale. We have to do this because the formula of the mixolydian mode has a b7. So if we flattened the seventh, this gives us these notes…

G A B C D E F

These are the notes of the G mixolydian mode.

–The Mixolydian Mode: Where To Use It–

The mixolydian mode works really well over dominant 7th chords. This means that in the example above we would use the G mixolydian mode over G dominant 7th chords. The mixolydian mode works over dominant 7th chords because the formula for dominant chords is 1 3 5 b7. These chord tones are also found within the formula of the mixolydian mode.

To finish off this article, here is a chord progression for you to improvise over. To gain maximum benefit, you will need to record it so that you can solo over it. Another option would be to get a friend to play the chords for you…

// G dom7 / G dom7 / Bb dom7 / Bb dom7 //

To solo over this, use G mixolydian for the first two bars and Bb mixolydian for the last two bars. Be patient with yourself if you find this challenging. It just takes time and practice. It WILL get easier.

If you’re more advanced, you could make the progression harder by adding some extra chords. Here’s an example of what you could do…

// G dom7 / F dom7 / Bb dom7 / D dom7 //

Or here’s another variation…

// G dom7 / B dom7 / Bb dom7 / Ab dom7 //

Have fun with this stuff!

If it helps clear the fog for you, please let your friends know about our website, as it might be useful for them also.
Amateur Radio – The Story Of The American Radio Relay League.

By David Thorson

The American Radio Relay League was founded in 1914 and is the USA’s largest membership organization for radio amateurs, with over 154,000. It is a non profit making organisation that provides both technical advice and assistance to amateur enthusiasts as well as supporting a number of educational programs throughout the US. It is also the primary representative organization of amateur radio operators. The ARRL represents its members by lobbying Congress and the FCC and performs a similar role internationally.

Local and regional activities of ARRL are carried out through its Field Organization which divides its 15 divisions into 71 separate regions called Sections. One of its most important functions is organizing emergency communications in the event of natural or civil disasters. Each section of ARES, (American Radio Emergency Services) has an appointed Section Emergency Coordinator. ARES also supports training and organizes regular practise exercises and establishes Memorandums of Understanding with relief agencies and government and has provided essential emergency communications a great many times throughout the leagues history.

Hiram Percy Maxim of Hartford, Connecticut was a well known business man, inventor and engineer and was an active member of the Radio Club of Hartford, he also had one of the best equipped stations in his area.

One night in April 1914 he tried in vain to send a message to another ‘ham’ 30 miles away in Springfield, Massachusetts which was well within his normal range. He then remembered that he had another contact in Windsor Locks which was about half the distance away, he contacted him and asked him to relay the message to Springfield which was done successfully.

This set Hiram thinking, most of amateur radio activity in those days consisted of sending and receiving messages but the maximum range of a station was a few hundred miles at most which made Hiram realise that a formally organized relay system could be of tremendous use to the radio ham and the public alike. At the next club meeting he put forward a plan for the organization of an American Radio Relay League, the club agreed to sponsor the development of the organization and ARRL was born. Membership was limited to highly qualified amateurs only and to their surprise by September there were 230 stations on their books.

In early 1915 ARRL split from the club and became incorporated under Connecticut law. However finances were very poor, the only income came from message blanks, maps and booklets. But ARRL kept growing and by March they had 600 stations on the roster, and some stations claimed communications of over 1000 miles. It was clear that something was needed to keep in touch with the members and Hiram and Clarence financed the first issue of QST but later issues had to be paid for through subscriptions of $1.00 per year.

In 1916 membership was almost 1000 and in February 1917 there came a breakthrough, a message was sent from New York to Los Angeles and an answer received within one hour twenty minutes.

Up to this time the ARRL had been run entirely by the two friends but owing to it’s huge success something more formal was called for. A constitution was adopted and directors and officers elected. The President was Hiram Maxim and the Secretary Clarence Taska and membership was opened to anyone interested in radio. No sooner was this done than all amateurs received a letter from the Dept. of Commerce ordering them all off the air and all antenna had to be taken down. The USA had entered WW1.

After the armistice in 1919 the amateurs were allowed to put up their antennas again but only for receiving. With the long lapse in activity the ARRL had exactly $33 in the kitty. They implemented a financial plan where they sold bonds to members and managed to raise $7500, bought QST from its owner, Clarence Taska, and in November amateur radio was fully restored.

In 1923 a two way contact between Connecticut and France bridged the Atlantic for the first time.

In 1925 the International Amateur Radio Union was formed. It’s headquarters are still in Newington.

The 1930s were a difficult period as the Great Depression took it’s toll. Hiram Percy Maxim died in 1936.

History repeated itself during WWII with amateurs being told once again to leave the air and take down their antennas. Thousands of amateurs served in the conflict and as soon as the war was over the bands began to open again.

It has not all been plain sailing since that time but through it all amateur radio has gone from strength to strength. More and more ‘hams’ have joined the ranks and continue to, not only enjoy their hobby but have fun doing it. At times of emergency and disaster there are many unsung heroes among the ARRL’s amateur enthusiasts.

These are tough times. And many of us are feeling it in our wallets. But .. No matter how tough times are, we can't forget the basics. And jazz radio definitely is one of the basics. And, without the basics taken care of, how can you get started?
Below is one of the best articles we have ever read on the subject. It lays everything out nicely, it's easy to read, and, understand, it touches on all of the key issues, and, best of all, when you have finished reading it, you will definitely know which is a very good direction to take given your circumstances.
Radio Tips a Guide For Clear Radio Reception

By Jack Wylde

Radio transmission has been one of the most amazing invention man has made. It transmits the audio signals through carriers using atmosphere as a medium. Electromagnetic waves are used for this purpose. These waves are detected and received by the antenna. Later the radio device reads the signal and converts it back into sounds. Though the entire process looks simple, it has been an incredible thought. The success of the radio transmission lies in the signal detection. The antenna will receive the signal from the FM stations which are in proximity. Thus reception is one of the most important thing in radio functioning. This article will brief you on how to boost FM radio reception.

Poor reception results to bad tuning of the station. If you are not tuned into the station properly, then you will receive the signals from various stations. There will be signal distortion and disturbance. This will be unpleasant to hear. Hence it is necessary that you enhance the reception of the receiver. The things required for this is a dipole antenna, a radio antenna which is of outdoor type. The following lines will discuss on the steps to be followed during this process.

The first step is to check the cord position. The power cord of the radio has to be stretched completely. Check for clear signal. If not, you can change the stereo condition to mono condition. This will help to improve your signal.

The next step is to do with your antenna. The antenna has to stretched and swayed along in different directions to receive better signal. You have to check for the location of the radio. It is placed in a place where the signals can be easily received without any disturbances, for example nearby a window.

Dipole antenna is a kind of antenna which is used to enhance your signal clarity. It will be of T shape and small in size. It will be available in any shop which sells electronic products. This antenna is purchased and connected to the radio input. Now this antenna is moved. The signal clarity is checked.

Rural areas are not provided with separate tower stations for their areas. The main reason of this the economy and the cost for setting up the station. Hence these places will experience poor reception. In such cases you may make use of the outdoor antenna.

The wire is connected to the input of the radio. The antenna is place on the terrace with the help of screws. Take care that the antenna is placed in a direction parallel to that of the terrace ground. If it is placed inclined then signal distortion may be experienced.

Thus the article would have given you an idea of how to boost FM radio reception. The process is purely based on adjustment and nothing much of technical work. The standard and the making of the set also will decide the clarity of the reception to a large extent. Thus check before you buy.

The folk songs and plantation dance music of black Americans have much to say about the early jazz. These types of music came about all the way through the Southern United States at some point in the eighteen hundreds.

Ragtime, a musical technique that influenced early jazz, emerged from the St. Louis, Missouri, area in the late 1890′s. It rapidly became the most popular music style in the United States. Ragtime was a vigorous and syncopated assortment of music, primarily for the piano, that give emphasis to a formal composition.

A conventional jazz band would consist of a front line of a trumpet, trombone and clarinet or the saxophone, and a rhythm section of drums, a bass, a piano, and often times a guitar or banjo. The blues is a type of music that has always been an imperative part of jazz. The blues was especially widespread in the American South. Its mournful scale and uncomplicated repeated harmonies helped shape the character of jazz. Jazz instrumentalists have long exploited the blues as a vehicle for improvisation.

Completely developed jazz music in all probability started off in New Orleans at the commencement of the nineteen hundredths. New Orleans style jazz came forward from the city’s own musical customs of band music for black funeral processions and street parades. Today, this kind of jazz is occasionally known as classic jazz, traditional jazz, or Dixieland jazz. New Orleans was the musical home of the first distinguished players and originators of jazz. Jazz soon broaden from New Orleans to the other parts of the country.

The 1920′s have been called the golden age of jazz it the jazz age. Commercial radio stations, which first appeared in the 1920′s, featured live performances by the growing number of jazz musicians. New Orleans, Memphis, St. Louis, Kansas City, Chicago, Detroit, and The City of New York were all significant centers of jazz.

A group of Midwest youths developed a type of improvisation and arrangement that became known as Chicago style jazz. While in The City of New York, a musician named as James P. Johnson popularized a musical style from ragtime which is known as stride piano. In stride piano, the left hand plays alternating notes single notes and chords that move up and down the scale the scale while the right hand plays solo melodies, accompanying rhythms, and interesting chordal passages. Johnson strongly influenced other jazz pianists.

Fletcher Henderson was the first most important figure in big band jazz. In 1923, he became the first leader to arrange a jazz band into sections of brass, reed, and rhythm instruments. His arranger, Don Redman, was the first to master the modus operandi of scoring music for big bands.
